With the white away jersey, Nike designers wanted to give Portugal a tailored, well-dressed look. It boasts a unique two-level stand collar and blue cuffs.
On either side of the Portuguese Football Federation’s crest are the years 1914 and 2014 to commemorate the team's centenary.
Inside the back of the neck is a white pennant tab featuring the Order of Christ, an evocative Portuguese cross that pays homage to the nation's rich seafaring history. The cross radiated from the sails of the ships helmed by great Portuguese explorers during the 15th century.
