REAL MADRID 15/16 KITS BY ADIDAS

In search of perfection, adidas and Real Madrid have unveiled their ultra clean, sharp new kits for the 2015-2016 season.

Real Madrid, a powerhouse of football excellence. Their history and heritage is showered in glory. Anything less than victory is deemed as not good enough. Arguably, they are their own biggest rivals.

Starting with a blank canvas, this iconic white shirt gives the team a clean slate to work from as they go in search for trophies. The will to succeed and passion that surrounds the club is marked in the inside the neck, with the club crest and the inscription “hala madrid y nada más” (“Come on Madrid and nothing else”, from the club anthem).

Silver grey stripes and trim gives the shirt an all round sense of class. Super clean, super smart. A traditionally modern design is finished off with white and grey shorts and socks. The goalkeeper’s kit is black with grey stripes. The neck is different and fresh, and there is a grey edge at the bottom of the shirt that creates a contrast with the black.

Triangle Soccer Drill by Louis van Gaal

Louis van Gaal is the coach of Manchester United and former coach of clubs like Ajax and Barcelona. During the World Cup 2014 he finished 3rd with the Dutch national team. One of the most well known soccer drills of Louis van Gaal is known as the triangle, as shown in the diagram below. Even if Louis van Gaal is not the coach anymore of the Dutch National team, they still do this exercise regularly. In this article we will discuss this soccer drill and four variations.

In this drill we have 2 players at cone B and C and players with ball at cone A. Player 1 passes to player 2, player 2 controls the ball and passes to player 3, who controls the ball and dribble back to the starting position. Please make sure to do this soccer drill clockwise too (so players have to pass with theur left foot)
Variation 1
From this drill we can have several variations. The first variation is to play a 1-2 combination between players 2 and 3 at cone C. Instead of moving outside (like in the original drill), player 3 will move towards the ball now.

Variation 2The second variation is to play a 1-2 combination at cone B as well. Again notice that player 2 is now moving towards the ball too, instead of outside. After the pass back to player 1, player 2 has to run around the cone (to make space for the pass that completes the 1-2).

Variation 3Instead of a 1-2 combination at cone B, player 1 now plays the ball directly to player 3. At cone C we still have the same 1-2 combination as in variation 1 and 2.

Variation 4In the 4th variation we play a 1-2 combination at cone B and then we play a through pass to player 3 who dribbles the ball to the starting position.

ORLANDO PIRATES 15/16 AWAY KIT

Orlando Pirates and adidas have combined to reveal the armour that the Mighty Buccaneers will don next season.

"Every war has its battle; every battle has its victory; every victory has its hero; and every hero has his weapons and armour." That's how the Orlando Pirates are championing their latest away kit from adidas.

The 2015/16 away shirt offers a modern and stylish v-neck alternative while retaining the fans' favourite red colourway. Commenting on the kit, Adrian De Souza - Senior Category Manager at adidas Football South Africa - explained, "This year we are excited to #bethedifference and together with Orlando Pirates have developed what we believe will be a trendy jersey, that further entrenches a strong emotional connection with the club and stimulates a pride in the jersey, particularly amongst the young supporters."

Other than returning to a V-shaped neck, the power red away jersey has a lighter red grading on the chest, giving it a brighter and more vibrant look. The collar and sleeves have mesh inserts giving the jersey a dotted fashionable look. The badge is 3D and as before, the back of the jersey is embossed with the skull and crossbones.

NIKE 15/16 NETHERLANDS AWAY KIT

Nike reveal another classic away strip using the country's evocative national colours. The simplicity of the shirt amplifies the classic enlarged crest and graphic shorts, which complete the clean but stylish design.

The combination of innovative graphics with the iconic Dutch color palette of orange and white creates a one of the most instantly recognisable national team strips in the game. Nike have a history of beautiful Holland jerseys but for the 15/16 away strip it's all about those shorts. The gradient speed graphics of orange and white light rays are where it's at and they continue to flow up the side panels of the shirt.

The graphic on the shorts is used to create a strong sense of motion and a blur of color and light when the Dutch players are in action (top image may be slightly exaggerated). The renowned Dutch graphic designer and typographer Wim Crouwel has created a special font for the names and numbers on the kit. The bold and modern font also maintains a retro appearance, reminiscent of the style seen throughout football during the 1970s.

The away shirt continues to feature the enlarged lion symbolizing Dutch football values of simplicity, honor and unity. A tab inside the back of the neck displays the crown that sits upon the lion’s head on their association’s crest. The perfect blend of retro feel and modern design, together with the new Portugal away shirt Nike have kicked off their 2015 replica game bang on point, we eagerly await what the Swoosh have planned for the England shirt.

The new Netherlands away kit will be available from selected online stockists including Pro Soccer SA from March 21.

NIKE UNVEIL PORTUGAL 15/16 AWAY KIT

Nike kick off their 2015 European replica game in electric style with the new Portugal away kit. Inspired by the team's fast-paced style of play the shirt goes back to black and features a unique speed graphic on the chest using vivid green and red light ray flashes.

There's always something special about a black kit for us and the green & red flashes taken from the Portuguese flag are the perfect finishing touches to give the shirt a sleek but distinct feel. The two colours creep in from opposite sides and are elevated on top of the black canvas, a popular colour previously worn by Portugal, most recently in the 2013/14 season.

A new Nike-specific streamlined, modern V–neck collar in black with a red ribbed band at the back adds a secondary pop of colour and inside the back of the neck is a pennant tab that features an armillary sphere, an ancient navigational device, to represent Portugal’s seafaring history. The tool has been a national symbol for more than 500 years and rests behind the Portuguese shield on the national flag.

The new Portugal away kit will be available from selected online stockists including Pro Soccer SA from March 21.

NIKE UNVEIL SOUTH AFRICA 2015 KITS

Nike and the South African Football Association introduce the new home and away national team football kits for the African Cup of Nations in January 2015.

Nike have revealed the new home and away uniforms for South Africa ahead of their opening African Cup of Nations match against Algeria on 19th January 2015. The gold home jersey features a classic, flat green collar with a single gold stripe running on the inside back of the neckline, as well as green cuffs on the sleeves.

The King Protea - South Africa's national flower - is emblazoned on the left chest, with the SAFA logo centred below the front of the v-neck. The South African flag rests on the outer back of the neck with a solid gold stripe running down the side of the green shorts. Gold socks with a bold green top cuff complete the home look. The away jersey in contrast, is green and paired with gold shorts and green socks that use the same template as the home strip.

"The new kits are very light and have a great fit,” says South African footballer Sibusiso Vilakazi.“The simplicity of the design and the use of the green and gold make these striking kits and I can't wait to play in them."

The new South Africa football jersey will be available from Dec. 11 at select Nike stockists like Pro Soccer SA.

NEW BALANCE LIVERPOOL FC 15/16 HOME KIT

New Balance reveal their debut Liverpool FC home kit for the 2015/16 season inspired by Anfield's famous Kopites. Having taking over the reigns in the red half of Merseyside from Warrior, New Balance Football kicks off their partnership with the club in sleek style.

The chequerboard jacquard pulls inspiration from the flags and scarves that take over the Kop on matchday and is hinted throughout the shirt. A stripped back, all-white club crest sits inline with the NB logo and Standard Chartered sponsorship to create a clean and tidy look on the front of the jersey. An equally smart integrated collar and a tribute to the 96 on the rear complete a strong launch design for New Balance.

The LFC 15/16 shirt also provides the first look at what New Balance can off tech-wise to the replica game and the new kit incorporates NB Dry, a performance technology that keeps the body cool and dry during play. Moisture wicking fabric releases moisture away from the body, making it fast drying, and it's anatomically fitted to form around the player’s body shape for ease of movement.

The Liverpool 2015/16 Home Kit will be available from select online stockists including Pro Soccer SA for a 14/05 drop. Thoughts Reds' fans? Drop us a line below.
