LIVERPOOL AWAY 15/16 BY NEW BALANCE

New Balance complete Liverpool's 2015/16 replica collection with the launch of their new away shirt for the upcoming campaign.

Liverpool will kit up in their new strips for the first time throughout their bumper pre-season tour of Thailand, Australia and Malaysia before their opening Premier League game of the season away to Stoke City.

NEW BALANCE LIVERPOOL FC 15/16 HOME KIT

New Balance reveal their debut Liverpool FC home kit for the 2015/16 season inspired by Anfield's famous Kopites. Having taking over the reigns in the red half of Merseyside from Warrior, New Balance Football kicks off their partnership with the club in sleek style.

The chequerboard jacquard pulls inspiration from the flags and scarves that take over the Kop on matchday and is hinted throughout the shirt. A stripped back, all-white club crest sits inline with the NB logo and Standard Chartered sponsorship to create a clean and tidy look on the front of the jersey. An equally smart integrated collar and a tribute to the 96 on the rear complete a strong launch design for New Balance.

The LFC 15/16 shirt also provides the first look at what New Balance can off tech-wise to the replica game and the new kit incorporates NB Dry, a performance technology that keeps the body cool and dry during play. Moisture wicking fabric releases moisture away from the body, making it fast drying, and it's anatomically fitted to form around the player’s body shape for ease of movement.

Steven Gerrard: Liverpool captain sorry for 38-second red card

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has apologised after being sent off after just 38 seconds in the 2-1 defeat by Manchester United.

The 34-year-old came on as a half-time substitute but was dismissed for stamping on Ander Herrera moments after being tackled by the Spaniard.

Gerrard, who joins LA Galaxy at the end of the season, will miss three games.
"I need to accept it; the decision was right," Gerrard told Sky Sports. "I've let down my team-mates and the fans."

He added: "I take full responsibility. I don't know what caused it. Probably just a reaction to the initial tackle.
"I shouldn't say more about it really. I've just come out here to apologise to the dressing room and supporters."

Having just returned from injury, Gerrard is now likely to miss FA Cup quarter-final replay against Blackburn, and two of eight remaining Premier League games - at Arsenal and at home to Newcastle.
The former England captain announced in January he was leaving Anfield at the end of the season, after joining the Reds aged nine.

"From now until the last kick of the last game of the season, I will be as fully committed to the team as I ever have been and giving everything I have to help Liverpool win games," he said at the time.

Gerrard, who made his Liverpool debut in 1998, led the club to the Champions League title in 2005, and has won a further nine trophies in his career.

Warrior Football to be re-branded as New Balance in 2015-16?

Warrior Football, the kit supplier for Liverpool, Stoke City, Porto and Sevilla, will be re-branded as New Balance reports The Anfield Wrap, a popular website and magazine. New Balance is a parent company of Warrior Sports, who entered the football market in 2012.

The End of Warrior Football?

Warrior Sports was founded in 1992 by the former Lacrosse player David Morrow producing the game-changing titanium lacrosse shafts. In 2012, Liverpool FC announced at that time record-breaking deal with Warrior Football, a subsidiary of New Balance since 2004.
In late 2012, Warrior unveiled their first football boot, the Warrior Skreamer S-Lite. A few weeks later, the company signed Marouane Fellaini to wear their new Skreamer boots. Warrior Football also managed to sign several more world class players, including Vincent Kompany. It's very likely that Warrior Football will also swoop Samir Nasri and Álvaro Negredo soon, after both Manchester City players played with whiteout Warrior Boots.

In the case of Warrior Football is re-branded as New Balance, it's uncertain if New Balance keep the three Warrior silos (Skreamer, Gambler, Superheat) or will launch new silos in Summer 2014.

According to the Anfield Wrap, all current kits will be re-branded with the New Balance label from the 2015-16 season.

Warrior was often criticized by fans for their kit designs for the Liverpool 13-14 Away and Third Kits.

adidas Launch World's First Knitted Football Boot

Every footballer dreams of a boot that combines the comfort and responsiveness of playing barefoot with the protection of a traditional design. Today adidas launch their latest step towards that dream with the launch of the adidas Samba primeknit.

The limited edition boot (available from Monday March 17th) is the first football boot to have an upper that is knitted from heel-to-toe, providing a bespoke second-skin fit that retains the strength of a conventional boot.

The introduction of primeknit marks the latest chapter in a rich history of revolutionary adidas football products and further cements primeknit as one of the key technologies at the heart of adidas innovation.

New levels of flexibility and comfort are provided by the one-piece knitted upper of the boot and the yarns used to construct primeknit provide stability and strength equal to conventional boots. Each yarn receives a high precision coating that guarantees water resistance even in the most challenging conditions.

The advanced production techniques used to make primeknit also allow for the one-layer upper to be constructed with zones catering to various performance needs, ensuring that the adidas Samba primeknit caters to all aspects of the game. The design's one-piece upper is constructed without any wastage of material; making the primeknit adidas' most sustainable football boot and the start of a brand new revolution in adidas football footwear.
